My new passion…

8 Mar

Once upon a time…. after weeks of putting it off I finally joined my neighbours for a craft night. This was my introduction to Stampin’ Up! and it was love at first sight :)

I knew I had found a new passion and it would be something that would be in my life for a long time.

During this time I have tried many different stamping products but kept coming back to Stampin’ Up. Not only do I love the products because of their good quality, but also the ideas you see in all Stampin’ Up catalogues.

Although it has been a very long time coming, I have finally made the decision in joining Stampin’ Up! family and become an independent demonstrator!

Well I cant believe that it has been months since I have put my scissors & ink to work!!

Soo much has happen since my last post…. school has started, girls have settled really well into their year 1 classes and as for me well trying to catch up with everything – especially with girlfriends!! :)

What better way to do it – than by having a crafty afternoon with the girls!!

Below is our creative collection for the day!

Until soon…

Thinking of you…

9 Nov

They say bad things come in 3’s, and although I might not be a believer Monday seemed to prove me wrong.

I had 3 bad news in the same day, but the last being the worse! My dear mum told me that a close family friend had breast cancer possibly in both breasts. My stomach was in noughts, I felt ill!!

Even though statistics say that, 1 in 11 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer before the age of 75, when it’s family or close friends you feel numb and an unknown surreal feeling takes over your thoughts…

So I wanted to tell her that she is in my thoughts and prayers, and a great way to do this is by making your own card….

My dear friend, I’m sending you and your family lots of love and may God give you strength to endure what may come….  (Psalms 34:18)

Stamping with friends

8 Nov

My first post…. how exciting!!

…. so after much anticipation the day finally came, to get together with a bunch of girlfriends (15) and put our creative minds to the test!

Creating 2 projects were lots of fun. All the stock (stamps/ink/punches,etc) were from a great company called  Stampin Up. I love their stuff and my catalogue from Stampin Up is a testament to that – full of tabs on my favourites items… LOL!

Everyone were happy with what they had achieved. A few of us (being perfectionist like me) got a bit frustrated at ourselves when things didn’t line up properly but in the end, all looked great. What was I thinking!!  :)

If only it all was as easy as snip snip chop chop!! LOL ;)

Truthfully what a great way to catch up with friends and have a laugh!!

Thanks again Claire for being such a sweet and patient demonstrator! Check out her work at “A Crafty Little Fox“.

Will do it again for sure….
